Title
A substitute ordinance relating to the change in zoning from Local Business to Two-Family Residential for construction of a church on land located west of North 8th Street, south of West Chambers Street, in the 6th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This zoning change was requested by St. Matthew CME Church and will permit 2965 and 2977-79 North 8th Street, zoned commercial, to be joined with property to the south, zoned residential, for construction of a church.
Body
Resolved, That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, do ordain as follows:
 
Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:
 
Section 295-501.2(c).0013. The zoning map is amended to change the zoning for 2965 North 8th Street, Tax Key No. 312-1584-000, and 2977-79 North 8th Street, Tax Key No. 312-1583-000, from Local Business (LB2) to Two-Family Residential (RT4).
