Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Employee Relations to enter into an engagement statement with Workforce Health for the provision of a pilot nurse practitioner service program.

Body
Whereas, On June18, 2014, the Common Council approved Common Council File Number 140077, a resolution approving a pilot nurse practitioner service program to be provided at the Wellness Center in the Municipal Building; and

Whereas, The on-site nurse practitioner service program will provide services to employees with no additional direct cost to employees; and

Whereas, An on-site nurse practitioner service program will help employees avoid other health provider costs; and

Whereas, Common Council File Number 140077 directed the Department of Employee Relations to prepare a contract for Common Council approval with Work Force Health for the provision of a pilot nurse practitioner service program; and

Whereas, The Department of Employee of Relations has prepared the attached engagement statement (contract) with Work Force Health for the provision of nurse practitioner services; and

Whereas, The City Attorney has reviewed the attached engagement statement; and

Whereas, The attached engagement statement will be incorporated into the existing health services agreement with Workforce Health; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Department of Employee Relations is authorized to enter into the attached engagement statement with Work Force Health for the provision of a pilot nurse practitioner service program; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the nurse practitioner service program provided by Work Force Health shall not exceed 20 hours a week; and ...
