Title
Substitute resolution authorizing the acceptance and expenditure of a Targeted Industry Projects (TIP) grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to fund manufacturing process improvements under the ME3 sustainable manufacturing program.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration-Office of Environmental Sustainability to accept and expend a Targeted Industry Projects (TIP) grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) in the amount of $90,000 with required minimum of a one-to-one match. The purpose of the project is to fund manufacturing process improvements under the ME3 sustainable manufacturing program.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Targeted Industry Projects (TIP) grant for the ME3 sustainable manufacturing program; and

Whereas, The operation of the TIP grant from September 1, 2014, to March 31, 2015 would complement ME3 activities funded through the 2014 ME3 Special Fund in the amount of $75,000 and an existing grant from the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) in the amount of $20,000; and

Whereas, The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation thorough the TIP would provide $90,000 in grant funding; and

Whereas, The source of the total match of $95,000 would comprised of 2014 ME3 Special Funds in the amount of $75,000 and an existing grant from the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) in the amount of $20,000; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That application to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation TIP grant is authorized, and the Department of Administration-Office of Environmental Sustainability shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated by
s. 304-81 of the code; and, be it
