Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said rights-of-way in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Department of Public Works, since said unimproved street and unimproved alley are not needed for public purposes.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that the unimproved portion of North 65th Street from West Melvina Street south to a point and the unimproved alley south of West Melvina Street between North 65th Street and North 66th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said rights-of-way in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
