Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc., allowing them to close West Everett Street between North 2^nd Street and North 3^rd Street.

Body

Whereas, The hollow sidewalk at the WeEnergies building, along West Everett Street between North 2^nd Street and North 3^rd Street, is in need of repair; and

Whereas, J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc. has requested to occupy the entire roadway of West Everett Street between North 2^nd Street and North 3^rd Street to undertake repairs to the hollow sidewalk; and

Whereas, The roadway closure is to take place between mid-June and the end of August 2014 ; and

Whereas, J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc. will be responsible for all traffic control in accordance with City standards; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the public right of way, while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the appropriate City officials are herby authorized to issue a permit to J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc. allowing occupancy of West Everett Street between North 2^nd Street and North 3^rd Street for a period between mid-June and the end of August 2014.
