Title
Substitute resolution authorizing the transfer of ownership of a statue of General Douglas MacArthur to Milwaukee County.
Analysis
This resolution directs the appropriate City officials to transfer ownership of the General MacArthur statue from the City of Milwaukee to Milwaukee County.  On February 11, 2014, the Common Council approved the relocation of this statue to the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center grounds.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council adopted Common Council Resolution File Number 131415 on February 11, 2014, approving the relocation of the General Douglas MacArthur statue to the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center grounds; and
 
Whereas, It is the intent of the Common Council that the ownership of this statue be transferred from the City of Milwaukee to Milwaukee County; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council Resolution File Number 131415, adopted on February 11, 2014, is amended by inserting the following "Further Resolved" clause immediately before the last "Further Resolved" clause:
 
"Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are directed to transfer ownership of the General MacArthur statue from the City of Milwaukee to Milwaukee County; and, be it "
