Title
Resolution authorizing city-wide sidewalk replacement at Scattered Sites and appropriating funds for these purposes with the city construction cost estimated to be $240,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $280,000.
Analysis
To provide the necessary authority for sidewalk repairs at Scattered Sites. The City cost of these projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $250,000. The total estimated cost of these projects is $280,000.
Body
Whereas, It is necessary and in the public interest to replace those sidewalk stones which are cracked, broken, out of grade or otherwise a hazard to pedestrians; and

Whereas, It is proposed that sidewalk replacement work be done in locations throughout the City at the indicated cost:

City Wide

Scattered Site (ST230140148) File Number 131240: Laying concrete walk. Doing all necessary grading pertaining to said work. ($20,000 to the Assessable Sidewalk Fund ST230140148; and $230,000 to the Nonassessable Sidewalk Fund ST230140148). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $280,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

Further Resolved, That said Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work in accordance with said report pursuant to Section 66.0703 and any other pertinent sections of the Wisconsin Statutes and in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting or adjacent properties and collect such assessment in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
