Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $100,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $980,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $100,000 with the total cost estimated to be $980,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
5th Aldermanic District
W. Hope Ave. - N. 81st St. to N. 82nd St. (WT410150603): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $70,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.
N. 81st St. - W. Fiebrantz Ave. to W. Hope Ave. (WT410150602): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $145,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.
8th Aldermanic District
W. Greenfield Ave. - S. 35th St. to S. 37th St. (WT410150604): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $140,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.

S. 91st St. - W. Holt Ave. to 125 feet south of W. Verona Ct. (WT410150601): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $115,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.
12th and 14th Aldermanic Districts
W. Becher St. - S. 1st St. to S. 4th St. (WT410140703): Water main rehabilitation. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $6,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $14,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $270,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
W. North Ave. - N. 30th St. to N. 31st St. (WT410140704): Water main rehabilitation. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $6,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $14,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $240,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
