Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to initiate right-of-way acquisition and engage a consultant and in addition directs the City Comptroller to create the necessary account and transfer funds for the City of Milwaukee’s share of the right-of-way cost for the Beer Line Bicycle Trail Extension. The total estimated right-of-way cost is $663,615. The City of Milwaukee’s share is $132,723 and the grantor share is $530,892.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 110135 on June 28, 2011, authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to fund the costs associated with the Beer Line Bicycle Trail Extension project, and the City Comptroller to create within the Capital Projects Fund, Grant and Aid Projects, the necessary Project Grant Chartfield Values and transfer funds for preliminary engineering associated with the project; and

Whereas, The subject project requires real estate acquisition to complete said project; and

Whereas, Detailed construction cost estimates have not yet been calculated for this project and will be addressed in future resolutions; now, therefore, be it
