Title

Substitute motion authorizing renewal of the Hotel/Motel license of Chahal Bros. LLC d/b/a Economy Inn for the property located at 7284 W. Appleton Avenue in the 10th Aldermanic District.

Body

Whereas, The Department of Neighborhood Services filed an objection to renewal of the Hotel/Motel license of Chahal Bros. LLC d/b/a Economy Inn for the property located at 7284 W. Appleton Avenue; and

 

Whereas, As a part of that objection, a copy of the police report was included indicating numerous police calls in addition to building code violations; and

 

Whereas, The Licenses Committee held an evidentiary hearing on May 28, 2008 to take testimony from the departments of neighborhood services and police in addition to testimony from the local alderman and the licensee; and

 

Whereas, After hearing all testimony, the Committee unanimously voted to renew the Hotel/Motel license of Chahal Bros. LLC d/b/a Economy Inn for the property located at 7284 W. Appleton Avenue without taking into consideration the Department of Neighborhood Services or Police Department reports.
