Analysis
This resolution approves an agreement between the Milwaukee Fire Department and Yamaha of Port Washington for a lease of one Yamaha Rhino and 2 Yamaha WaveRunners between April 28, 2008, and October 30, 2008, to be used for rescue operations by the Fire Department. Under the lease the only cost to the department is damage to the equipment that is charged to the Milwaukee Fire Department at the end of the lease term.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee Fire Department dive team rescues individuals stranded in local waterways; and
Whereas, A Yamaha Rhino is an all-terrain vehicle that allows the dive rescue team to carry its equipment to rescue sites, such as rivers and lagoons, and also to transport patients; and
Whereas, A Yamaha WaveRunner is a motorized water board that allows the dive rescue team to rescue people stranded in local waterways; and
Whereas, Yamaha of Port Washington has agreed to provide the Fire Department with Yamaha equipment under lease terms such that the only cost to the department is damage to the equipment that is charged to the Fire Department at the end of the lease term; and
Whereas, The agreement is entered into between the Fire Department and Yamaha of Port Washington between April 28, 2008, and October 30, 2008, for a lease of one Yamaha Rhino and 2 Yamaha WaveRunners; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the lease agreement between the Milwaukee Fire Department and Yamaha of Port Washington for one Yamaha Rhino and 2 Yamaha WaveRunners, a copy of which is attached to this file, is approved.
