Minutes note: The court reporter was sworn in. The question was put: Have the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendation of the Licenses Committee in this matter? All members indicated that they had done so. The question was put: Is Zellmer Fromm or his counsel present and, if so, does he or she wish to address the Council? Mr. Fromm was present by counsel, Attorney Joshua Gimbel. Ald. Bohl moved that the Common Council resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purpose of taking testimony in this matter. There were no objections. Attorney Gimbel appeared and addressed the Common Council. Asst. City Attorney Tom Millier appeared and addressed the Common Council. Ald. Bohl moved that the Committee of the Whole rise. There was no objection. RENEW notwithstanding the recommendations of the Committee and exclude items 5 a. through dd from the findings of fact for the purpose of preserving their future use in the legislatigve record.

This resolution authorizes the issuance of a mobile home park license to Zellmer Fromm, Collegiate Mobile Home Park, for the premises at 6160 S. 6th St.
Body
Whereas, The Licenses Committee held an evidentiary hearing on May 28, 2008 related to issuance of a mobile home park license to Zellmer Fromm, Collegiate Mobile Home Park, for the premises at 6160 S. 6th St.; and

Whereas, At the hearing, city staff and the local alderman testified to building code violations and numerous police calls to the premises; and

Whereas, the Licensee and attorney were present to respond to these allegations; and

Whereas, The Licensee, his attorney, the local alderman and the City Attorney’s Office met and the Licensee submitted a 10-point agreement to address the city’s and the alderman’s concerns; and

Whereas, The agreement was made part of the official record and allows the City to seek revocation or non-renewal action if the Licensee fails to comply with the agreement; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the mobile home park license for Zellmer Fromm, Collegiate Mobile Home Park, for the premises at 6160 S. 6th St. is approved with the amendment that 5A-5DD from the Findings of Fact dated May 30, 2008 related to this premises are stricken from the record; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Clerk be and hereby is authorized and directed to issue a mobile home park license to Zellmer Fromm, Collegiate Mobile Home Park, for the premises at 6160 S. 6th Street for a period of one year commencing July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009.
