This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept contributions of money to purchase bicycle patrol equipment or contributions of bicycle patrol equipment from various sources.
Body
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City, and

Whereas, Contributions of bicycle patrol equipment will assist the Milwaukee Police Department with the bicycle patrol; and

Whereas, The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has offered to donate $1,200 to the Milwaukee Police Department; and

Whereas, This contribution will assist the Milwaukee Police Department with the purchase of bicycle patrol equipment; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept contributions of bicycle patrol equipment including bicycles; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a contribution of $1,200 from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, and up to $20,000 in additional contributions, and to expend these funds for the purchase and repair of bicycle patrol equipment; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the budget for the expenditure of the contribution; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-D001-006300, and the estimated revenue account for contributions, account number 0001-2110-0001-009850 t...
