Analysis
This resolution approves the adoption of an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Employes' Retirement System of the City of Milwaukee regarding employe benefits. It allows the Secretary and Executive Director (Director), an employe of the Employes’ Retirement System, to participate in the City’s deferred compensation system.
Body
Whereas, On November 9, 2007, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 070957, approving the amendment to the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Employes’ Retirement System (ERS) and the Annuity and Pension Board (Board) for employe benefits for the Secretary and Executive Director (Director) of the Employes’ Retirement System, which was attached to the file; and

Whereas, Pursuant to the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement, as amended by Resolution File Number 070957, the City and the ERS have agreed that the City, acting through the Comptroller’s Office or other City departments, upon request of the Board, shall enroll the Director in the City’s payroll system, as an employe of the ERS, and pay to the Director a salary biweekly in the amount designated by the Board, and enroll the Director in the City’s medical and dental insurance/reimbursement programs, and other employe benefit programs generally available to City management employes, as such programs may exist from time to time (furnished employe benefits); and
