Analysis
This ordinance adjusts fees charged for sale of the city charter and code, based on costs associated with specific volumes over the past 4 years (no net change in revenues). These fees were last adjusted effective January 1, 2000. The proposed adjustments are:
1. Updated master volume:
a. Charter - from $35 to $25.
b. Code, volume 1 - from $35 to $45.
c. Code, volume 2 - from $35 to $45.
d. Code, volume 3 - from $35 to $25.
2. Amendment service:
a. Charter - from $35 to $20.
b. Code, volume 1 - from $35 to $60.
c. Code volume 2 - from $60 to $40.
d. Code, volume 3 - from $35 to $40.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 81-35.5 of the code is amended to read:
81-35.5. Code and Charter. The fees charged for the sale of the city charter and code shall be:
1. Updated master volume:
a. Charter: [[$35]]>>$25<< plus tax.
b. Code, Volume 1: [[$35]]>>$45<< plus tax.
c. Code, Volume 2: [[$35]]>>$45<< plus tax.
d. Code, Volume 3: [[$35]]>>$25<< plus tax.
