Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works and Comptroller to enter into a funding agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for installation of traffic control improvements in conjunction with the paving of West Greenfield Avenue from South 1st Street to South Cesar Chavez Drive in the 12th Aldermanic District at a total estimated cost of $146,919.61, with an estimated grantor share of $117,535.69, and an estimated City share of $29,383.92, and to install these improvements upon execution of the agreement. This resolution also authorizes the Comptroller to establish and transfer funds to the appropriate accounts for the project. The total estimated cost of the entire project is $2,769,919.61, with a grantor share of $$2,215,935.69 and a City share of $553,983.92.

Whereas, The Project Agreement for the paving of West Greenfield Avenue from South 1st Street to South Cesar Chavez Drive was approved by the Common Council under File Number 011166; and

Whereas, The Surface Transportation Program provides cost participation for traffic control improvements in conjunction with the paving of highways located on the Federal/State Aid Highway System; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of this project is $146,919.61 for the alteration and upgrade of traffic control signals and the upgrade of traffic control signs; and

Whereas, Twenty percent of the participating costs, or $29,383.92 is included in the Division’s 2007 Capital Purpose Project/Grant Number ST320070000; and
