Body
Whereas, Since April 2007, the City Attorney's Office and the Milwaukee Brewers' and the Stadium District's respective lawyers have been trying to resolve roadway issues relating to Miller Park and the City's right to use the Access Roads in Miller Park, and it appears that the parties are at an impasse; and

Whereas, The City is concerned about the timing of finishing construction of the City's new Wheelhouse Road, Milwaukee Road and a new City alley which are designed to connect to East Access Road in Miller Park; and

Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee ("RACM"), RACM's buyers in the Menomonee Valley Industrial Center ("MVIC"), and the City share interest in having the connections made to the East Access Road; and

Whereas, Construction of the new roads and alley has been delayed while the City has been attempting to secure a negotiated agreement with the Milwaukee Brewers and the Stadium District; and

Whereas, The new roadways are vitally important to the overall economic development of the Menomonee Valley, and the added infrastructure will help the Milwaukee Brewers, the Stadium District and the City; and

Whereas, The current impasse among the City, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Stadium District is causing concern to prospective buyers of property within the MVIC, and it is necessary that this situation be solved as soon as possible so that the City does not risk job-creating industrial development; now, therefor...
