Title
Substitute ordinance relating to the establishment of a Master Sign Program Overlay Zone for property located at 1212, 1236 and 1300 South Layton Boulevard, in the 8th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance will allow for more flexibility in the application of sign regulations for Ascension Lutheran Church due to the size, frontage configuration and number of tenants on the site.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee (“Common Council”), do ordain as follows:
Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances (“Code”) a new section to read as follows:
Section 295-1017.0004. The zoning map is amended to establish a Master Sign Program Overlay Zone (MSP) for the area bounded and described by the centerline within South Layton Boulevard, a line 50 feet South and parallel to the south line of West Scott Street, the zoning line within South 26th Street, a line 232 feet South and parallel to the south line of West Scott Street, a line 136 feet East and parallel to the east line of South Layton Boulevard and a line 370 feet South and parallel to the south line of West Scott Street.
Part 2. In accordance with the provisions of Section 295-1017(2)(a) of the Code relating to the establishment of Master Sign Program Overlay Zones, the Common Council approves the sign program, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part thereof as though fully set forth herein.
