Title

Substitute ordinance relating to the change in zoning from Industrial-Light to Local Business on land located East of South 6th Street and North of West Layton Avenue, in the 13th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance will permit the construction of a 3-story, 80-unit Sleep Inn and Suites hotel and future retail structure.

Body

Resolved, That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:

 

Section 295-601.2.0030. The zoning map is amended to change the zoning for the area bounded and described by the centerline of South 6th Street, a line 225.83 feet North and parallel to the north line of West Layton Avenue, a line 153 feet East and parallel to the east line of South 6th Street, and the centerline of the drainage easement to the north of the property, from Industrial-Light (IL1) to Local Business (LB1).
