Substitute resolution authorizing the submittal and acceptance for funding of the City of Milwaukee’s 2008 consolidated community development entitlement funding for the American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI) from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA).
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Community Development Grants Administration to accept the ADDI grant funding in the amount of $105,000 consistent with its approved Consolidated Strategy and Plan as approved by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and authorizes the Community Development Grants Administration to execute and implement ADDI projects.
BODY
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for Community Development entitlement funding for the ADDI activity in the amount of $105,000 for 2008; and

Whereas, Common Council File Number (CCFN) 040913 authorized the submission of a revised Consolidated Strategy and Plan and Annual Action Plan for 2008 consolidated community development entitlement funding; and

Whereas, CCFN 070532 adopted on July 31, 2007 authorized the 2008 Funding Allocation Plan; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the Mayor of the City of Milwaukee is designated as the authorized representative of the City of Milwaukee, in connection with all matters relating to the City’s 2008 ADDI Program; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City of Milwaukee assures and certifies that it will comply with the regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements with respect to the acceptance and use of Federal ADDI funds as specifically delineated in the Grant Award; and, be it
