Minutes note: (The court reporter was sworn in as part of Common Council File Number 070401 above.) Have the members of the Common Council read the report and recommendations of the Public Safety Committee as well as any objections filed in these matters? All members indicated that they had done so. The question was put: Are the following individuals or their counsels present and, if so, do they wish to address the Common Council? Sekou K. Bility was present. Mile Catic was not present. Mohammad A. Choundhury was not present. Diane Lewis was not present. James S. Richmond was not present. Ald. Donovan moved that the Common Council resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of taking testimony with respect to this matter. There was no objection. Mr. Sekou K. Bility appeared with his translator and addressed the Common Council. Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the Common Council. Ald. Donovan moved that the Committee of the Whole rise. Ald. D'Amato moved that the Common Council resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of receiving information relating to the matter of Sekou K. Bility. There was no objection. Asst. City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the Common Council. Ald. Donovan moved that the Committee of the Whole rise. There was no objection. Ald. D'Amato moved that the Public Passenger Vehicle license of Sekou K. Bility be renewed notwithstanding the recommendation of the committee.
