Whereas, The properties listed below were conveyed from K&L Trust and Kohl et. al. to the Milwaukee County, on December 2004:

Whereas, The K&L Trust and Kohl et al transferred the properties to the Milwaukee County, a municipal body corporate; and,

Whereas, The Milwaukee County a municipal body corporate is exempt from general property taxes pursuant to Wis. Stat., § 70.11(2); and,

Whereas, The Milwaukee County did not record the deed until July 7, 2007; and

Whereas, In 2005 and 2006, because there was no recorded change in ownership, the Assessors’ Office assessed the properties; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee County was the beneficial owner of the properties in 2005 and 2006; and

Whereas, The deeds were recorded on July 5th 2007, by the Milwaukee County and sent to the Assessor’s Office who exempted the properties for the tax year 2007; and

Whereas, Common Council desires to provide for the remission of taxes outstanding with respect to:
