Resolution relative to acceptance and funding of a Safe Harbor Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Public Library to accept and fund a Safe Harbor Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration in the amount of $53,930 with a City share of $33,930, and a grantor share of $20,000. The purpose of the project is to digitize and make available on the Web historic photographs of the Port of Milwaukee.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin for the purpose of digitizing and making available on the Web historic photographs of the Port of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant from 07/01/07 to 06/30/08 would cost $53,930 of which $33,930 (63%) would be provided by the City and $20,000 (37%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Public Library shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2007 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled “Safe Harbor Grant”:
