Resolution authorizing additional position authority for one Grant Monitor position in the Department of Administration - Community Development Grants Administration.

Body
Whereas, The Department of Administration - Community Development Grants Administration (DOA-CDGA) has undertaken a significant increase in the demand for Housing related activities; and
Whereas, This demand has deem it necessary to create a new Grant Monitor position in the DOA-CDGA with a housing emphasis in order to absorb the high demand and to ensure that proper oversight and monitoring is maintained; and
Whereas, The funding for this position would be funded utilizing grant funds from the HOME grant; and
Whereas, The funds in the amount of $34,262 for salary and fringe benefits would be taken from the HOME Contingency account for the remaining six months of 2007; now therefore, be it
Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee hereby approves the addition of one Grant Monitor position in the DOA-CDGA; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Comptroller is authorized to transfer $34,262 from the HOME contingency account to the DOA-CDGA HOME administration account for salary and fringe benefits for one position of Grant Monitor; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2007 Positions Ordinance Common Council File Number 060494, should be amended as follows:
