Minutes note: The question was put: Have the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Licenses Committee and any written exceptions filed?
All members indicated that they had done so.
The question was put: Is Montal Hinton or his Counsel present and, if so, does either wish to address the Council?
Attorney Andrew Arena was present on behalf of Mr. Hinton.
Ald. Witkowiak moved that the Common Council resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of taking testimony in this matter.
There was no objection.
Attorney Andrew Arena appeared and addressed the Common Council.
Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the Common Council.
Ald. Witkowiak moved that the Committee of the Whole rise.
There was no objection.
Ald. Hamilton requested unanimous consent to offer an amendment not in writing.
Granted without objection.
Ald. Hamilton moved to return the Class "B" Tavern license for "Montal's Lounge", 2525 N. Holton Ave., to committee.
This motion was WITHDRAWN by Ald. Hamilton.
