Resolution authorizing the Assessor’s Office to enter into an agreement with Milwaukee County Automated Mapping and Land Information System to provide a report evaluating the utility of certain oblique aerial imagery and related software products currently licensed by Pictometry International Corporation to the City.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is an active participant in the Milwaukee County Automated Mapping and Land Information System, a public-private partnership created by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors to implement an automated mapping and land information system within Milwaukee County; and

Whereas, The City has entered into Vendor Service Contract E0000006818 (VSC) on September 11, 2006 for the license, maintenance, and support of oblique aerial imagery and related software products from Pictometry International Corporation; and

Whereas, The Steering Committee of Milwaukee County Automated Mapping and Land Information System (MCAMLIS) is considering whether to acquire high resolution oblique or LIDAR photo-imagery; and

Whereas, MCAMLIS has indicated a desire to reach an agreement with the City whereby the Assessor’s Office will provide MCAMLIS with a report evaluating the utility of the products licensed to the City by Pictometry in exchange for payment in the amount of $8,016, which amount coincides with the amount expended by the City during the first year of the VSC; and

Whereas, The Assessment Commissioner has determined that the agreement is compatible with the needs of the Assessor’s Office and that such agreement would be advantageous to the City; and

Whereas, An agreement between MCAMLIS and the City has been drafted and is attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
