This resolution amends Common Council File Number 060529, adopted on September 26, 2006, such that the deadline for the Fireworks Task Force to submit its findings and recommendations to the Common Council is changed to June 30, 2007.
Body
Whereas, On September 26, 2006, the Common Council adopted File Number 060529, a resolution creating a task force to study issues related to the prevalence of fireworks in the City; and
Whereas, This resolution directed the task force to submit its findings and recommendations to the Common Council within 6 months of adoption of the resolution (i.e., by March 26, 2007); and
Whereas, The Fireworks Task Force is actively engaged in preparing the report of its findings and recommendations, but may not be able to meet the March 26, 2007, deadline; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the final “Further Resolved” clause of Common Council File Number 060529 is deleted and the following “Further Resolved” clause is inserted in lieu thereof:
“Further Resolved, That the task force shall submit its findings and recommendations to the Common Council by June 30, 2007, and shall thereafter be dissolved.”
