Resolution authorizing an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Willis of Wisconsin for health care consultant services for 2007-2009.
Body
Whereas, The City of City of Milwaukee Department of Employee Relations (DER) did a request for proposal (RFP) for health care consulting services for 2007-2009 to provide comprehensive long term cost containment strategies, to assist with stabilizing City and employee premiums, and minimizing future costs increases, and
Whereas, The DER sent the RFP to twelve vendors and posted information about the RFP in the Daily Reporter; and
Whereas, The DER received responses from two vendors; and
Whereas, A review team including representatives of the Budget Office, the Comptrollers Office, and DER has reviewed the proposals; and
Whereas, The response from Willis of Wisconsin has been recommended by the review committee; and
Whereas, The cost for the Willis of Wisconsin consulting for the specific services requested will not exceed $105,000 per year in 2007, 2008, and 2009; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that DER is authorized to enter into an agreement with Willis of Wisconsin for a three year period from 2007-2009 for the purpose of providing health care consulting services.
