Resolution approving an amendment to a lease agreement with Edward E. Gillen Co.
Analysis
This resolution would approve Amendment to Lease Agreement with Edward E. Gillen for 1.15
acres of property located at 1801 East Carferry Drive.
BODY
Whereas, Edward E. Gillen Company has been a long term tenant in good standing in the Port of Milwaukee and has an existing lease dated December 20, 1999; and
Whereas, Starting February 1, 2007 Parcel 1 will be removed from the Tenant’s leasehold under this lease. The driveway on the north edge of the Property will remain in the Tenant’s lease. Parcel 2 will be added to the leasehold. The deletion of Parcel 1 and the addition of Parcel 2 change the amount of real property included in the lease to 1.15 acres from the original .921 acres; and
Whereas, The Board of Harbor Commissioners at their meeting of January 19, 2007 acted by vote of the Board to grant such extension; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Amendment to Lease Agreement between Edward E. Gillen Co. and the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners for the period of January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2010 per the terms and conditions of the leased dated December 20, 1999; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and of said Board of Harbor Commissioners are hereby authorized and directed to execute an Agreement to carry out this purpose.
