Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $155,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $2,245,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $155,000 with the total cost estimated to be $2,245,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
N. 27th St. at W. Villard Ave. (SW170060104): Sanitary sewer relocation. (Nonassessable Expansion of Capacity Sewer Fund -- $30,000, additional engineering funds). File Number 051541 authorized $15,000. The total estimated engineering cost including this request is $45,000. The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $124,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
4th Aldermanic District
W. Michigan St. - N. 24th St. to N. 27th St. (SM495060063): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $207,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
N. 33rd St. - W. Vliet St. to W. McKinley Bl. (SM495060057): Relaying combined sewer and lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $25,000. The total estimated cost of this project is $343,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
10th Aldermanic District
W. Stevenson St. - N. 60th St. to N. 63rd St. (SM495060065): Relaying sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $211,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
N. 62nd St. - W. Stevenson St. to W. St. Paul Ave. (SM495060064): Relaying sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $448,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
W. Clarke St. - N. 36th St. to N. 37th St. (SM495060066): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $123,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
N. 11th St. - W. Meinecke Ave. to W. Wright St. (SM495060067): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $13,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
N. 20th St. - W. Garfield Ave. to W. North Ave. (SM495060062): Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $25,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $639,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
