Substitute resolution relating to the appeal of A.K. Ogunkunle for property damage. (5^th Aldermanic District)

Body

Whereas, Members of the Judiciary and Legislation Committee have reviewed the records relating to this claim in the amount of $1,421.47, relating to damage sustained to private home allegedly as a result of a water meter being replaced and water service being restored to the home on April 3rd, 2006 at 10086 W.  Leon Terrace,  Milwaukee WI 53224.  Based on this review, members of the Committee, despite the recommendation of the City Attorney, recommend the claimant be reimbursed $1,000.00 in  payment of this claim; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of  $1,000.00 payable to A.K. Ogunkunle, 10086 W Leon Terrace, Milwaukee WI 53224, to reimburse him for the damage; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 0006300,  Fund 0410, Organization - 6410, Program - 2631, Sub Class - R643.  This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident.
