Analysis

This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute Partial Release of Water Easements WE241R and WE404R.

Body

Whereas, On June 25, 1968 the City of Milwaukee was granted water easement WE241 located in the west one-half of Vacated North 10^th Street from West Wells Street to West State Street, being a portion of Tax Key Number’s 391-0113-111 and 391-0407-111, by the County of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, On March 18, 1975 the City of Milwaukee was granted water easement WE404 located at 572’ W/O South 51^st Street from 500’ N/O West Layton Avenue to West Layton Avenue, being a portion of Tax Key Number 602-9975-001, by the City of Greenfield; and

Whereas, The water mains that were constructed in portions of these easements have been abandoned; and

Whereas, These portions of water easements are no longer required for future water purposes and do not serve the interest of the City of Milwaukee and should be released; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to execute the documents for Partial Release of Water Easements WE241R and WE404R, copies of which are attached to and part of this resolution; and, be it

Further Resolved, That after said easement releases have been executed by the proper City Officers, they shall be forwarded to the Department of Public Works for recording and proper distribution.
