Analysis
This resolution authorizes approving the removal and replacement of a portion of the east-west alley bounded by West Burleigh Street, West Ring, North 12th Street, and North 13th Street at the property owner’s request for which the Public Hearing requirements have been waived and appropriating funds for this purpose. The total estimated cost of this project being $10,000.
Body
Whereas, The property owner at 1212 West Burleigh Street has asked the City of Milwaukee to replace a portion of the existing alley; and

Whereas, The alley will be removed and replaced by the City of Milwaukee and assessed to the property owner; and

Whereas, Waivers of notice and hearing of the abutting property owners have been filed; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That said Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work in accordance with Section 66.60 and any other pertinent sections of the Wisconsin Statutes and in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting property and collect such assessment in the manner directly by said Section 115-42; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital purpose subaccount ST212060136.
