Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $165,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,426,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

6th Aldermanic District

W. Chambers St. - N. 5th St. to N. 6th St. (WT410071086): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $15,000) The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $100,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.

8th and 10th Aldermanic Districts

Install concrete traffic calming devices (ST211060182): at the following locations: S. 25th St. - W. Lapham St. to W. Orchard St., S. 26th St. - W. Hayes Ave. to W. Lincoln Ave., and N. 52nd St. - W. Vliet St. to W. Washington Blvd. The total cost of this project is $16,000. This project is anticipated to be completed in 2006.

11th Aldermanic District

S. Honey Creek Dr. - S. 60th St. to W. Coldspring Rd. (WT410071402): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $15,000) The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $185,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
