from the Urban Area’s Security Initiative/Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance on behalf of the City of Milwaukee for necessary harbor equipment in connection with Port security.

Body
Whereas, The Urban Area’s Security Initiative/Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance has awarded the Port of Milwaukee a $35,000 grant on behalf of the City of Milwaukee for necessary harbor equipment in connection with Port security; and

Whereas, No match money is required for this grant, and the Port can expend the funds by end of the grant period; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Port of Milwaukee is authorized to accept and expend this Grant without further approval unless terms of the grant change; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to create the appropriate Port Capital Grant Project account, within the Port Capital Projects Fund 0481, and transfer the grantor share of $35,000 from the 2006 Special Projects Fund 0306, Parent Project SP032060100 for the grantor share funded by Urban Areas Security Initiative/Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Port of Milwaukee is authorized to expend these funds for the specified purpose as indicated in the grant agreement; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials and/or the Municipal Port Director are authorized to sign the aforementioned grant without further Common Council approval; and, be it
