Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement between the Bay View Neighborhood Association, the Bay View Garden and Yard Society and the City relating to the Lincoln / Kinnickinnic / Howell Maintenance Agreement, a copy of which is attached to this file. The Bay View Neighborhood Association, in conjunction with the Bay View Garden and Yard Society, has proposed removal of the westernmost concrete median at the intersection of West Lincoln, South Kinnickinnic and South Howell Avenues, and replacement with natural landscaping. The maintenance of this new landscaping would then be performed by the Bay View Garden and Yard Society.

Whereas, The Bay View Neighborhood Association, in conjunction with the Bay View Garden and Yard Society, is interested in beautifying the westernmost of 2 medians at the intersection of West Lincoln, South Kinnickinnic and South Howell Avenues; and

Whereas, In return for City assistance in modifying the median by replacing the existing concrete surface with natural landscaping the Bay View Garden and Yard Society has agreed to perform routine maintenance of the new landscaping; and

Whereas, An agreement between the City of Milwaukee, the Bay View Neighborhood Association and the Bay View Garden and Yard Society relating to this arrangement is attached to this file; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to execute the Lincoln / Kinnickinnic / Howell Maintenance Agreement...
