Analysis
This resolution reallocates $25,000 previously reserved within the Harassment Settlement Trust Account in the Permanent Improvement Fund for the hiring of a consultant to a new special fund in the Department of Administration for housing trust activities to provide housing and other housing-related services.

Body
Whereas, On October 18, 2005 the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 050755 reserving $25,000 within the Harassment Settlement Trust Account-Permanent Improvement Fund (Fund 0622 Org 331x Prog 0411 Year 2005, Subclass R999 Account 662201) for the hiring of a consultant to work with an advisory task force to perform various tasks related to the establishment of a City of Milwaukee Housing Trust Fund; and

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 060071 on September 26, 2006, endorsing, with certain modifications, the recommendations of the Milwaukee Housing Trust Fund Task Force’s Final Report dated June, 2006, related to the establishment of a housing trust fund and provisions related to its operation and funding; and

Whereas, The Housing Trust Fund Task Force determined that the hiring of a consultant was unnecessary, and the funds reserved for a consultant remain unused; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that $25,000 previously reserved for housing trust consultant purposes within the Harassment Settlement Trust Account-Permanent Improvement Fund is reallocated to a new special fund in the Department of Administration for housing trust fund activities, to provide housing and other housing-related ser...
