Body
Whereas, Milwaukee School of Engineering is renovating its building at 1008 North Broadway to convert it into an art museum; and

Whereas, As part of the renovation, the applicant, desires to construct a new circular entrance at the northeast corner of North Broadway and East State Street, two portions of which will encroach into the public right-of-way at two different locations; and

Whereas, Said building portions may only legally encroach into the public right-of-way by granting of a special privilege resolution adopted by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Milwaukee School of Engineering, 1025 North Broadway, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202 is hereby granted the following special privilege:

To construct and maintain two curved building encroachments. The first of these encroachments will commence approximately 10 feet east of the eastline of North Broadway and continue 12 feet 6 inches to the east. Said building encroachment will project a maximum of 1 foot 11 inches into the north, 12-foot wide sidewalk area of East State Street. The second building encroachment will commence approximately 10 feet 10 inches north of the northline of East State Street and continue 10 feet 4 inches to the north. This building encroachment will project a maximum of 1 foot 5 inches into the 20-foot wide east sidewalk area of North Broadway.
