Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2006 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Health Department, Library, Police Department and Department of Public Works-Administration Services
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department”, amend footnote “(P)” to read as follows: “To expire 08/30/07 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI Grant is extended. Also may partially fund a Public Health Educator II-CID, Health Services Assistant II, Telecommunications Analyst-Associate and Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator”; amend footnote “(YY)” to read as follows: “To expire 09/29/07 unless the Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant is extended”; amend footnote “(CC)” to read as follows:
“To expire 07/31/07 unless the HIV Women’s Project Grant, available from the Medical College of Wisconsin, is extended”; under “Healthy Behaviors and Healthcare Access Division, Medical Assistance Outreach Program”, add footnote “(C)” to one position of “Public Educator (X)(S)” and amend footnote “(C)” to read as follows: “To expire 07/31/07 unless the Covering Kids Grant is extended. Partially funds Health Interpreter Aide position”; under “Consumer Environmental Health Division”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position of “Program Assistant I.”
Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Communications and Marketing Section”, delete one position of “Librarian V” and add one position of “Marketing and Public Relations Officer.”
Under “Police Department, Operations Decision Unit” amend footnote “(F)” to read as follows: “Amend footnote (F) to read as follows: “Truancy Abatement Grant: Six positions to expire 6/30/2007 unless grant funding from the Milwaukee Public Schools continues.”
Under “Department of Public Works, Administrative Services Division, Finance & Planning Section”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II” and two positions of “Accounting Assistant I”, and add one position of “Program Assistant III” and two positions of “Accounting Assistant II”; under “Parking Fund, Parking Administration/Meters”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position of “Accounting Program Assistant III.”
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
