Title

Substitute resolution naming the Commissioner of Public Works as the authorized representative for the City of Milwaukee for the purpose of filing Clean Water Loan Fund applications with the Department of Natural Resources.

Analysis

This substitute resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to be the City of Milwaukee’s representative for the purpose of submitting applications to the Department of Natural Resources’ Clean Water Loan Fund.

Body

Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Clean Water Loan Fund program provides communities loans at a reduced market rate for the purposes of the design and construction of wastewater treatment and collection systems and structural urban storm water Best Management Practices; and

Whereas, It is the desire of the City of Milwaukee, a municipal corporation, to file applications for state financial assistance for our sewer collection system and storm water Best Management Practices under the Clean Water Loan Fund program, which is a part of the Wisconsin Environmental Improvement Fund; and

Whereas, It is necessary to designate a representative for filing the required applications; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is designated as the authorized representative for the City of Milwaukee for the purpose of filing applications for the Clean Water Loan Fund, and that the Commissioner is further authorized to do all things necessary in connection with said applications.
