This resolution amends Common Council File Number 040915 relative to the Milwaukee Gang and Violence Project.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 040915 authorizes the Community Development Grants Administration to apply for, accept and fund the Milwaukee Gang and Violence Project from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant will continue through 12/31/2006 and would cost $247,500 of which $247,500 would be provided by the grantor; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program has increased from $209,500 to $247,500. Total cost of the program increased by $38,000; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Community Development Grants Administration shall accept the additional grant funding without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2006 Special Revenue- Grant and Aid Projects
Fund, the following amounts for the program titled "Milwaukee Gang and Violence Reduction
Project Grant":
