Title
Resolution rescinding various special privileges for items that are no longer located within the public right-of-way at various locations within the City of Milwaukee.
Analysis
This resolution rescinds various special privileges granting permission for items to encroach into the public right-of-way because said items have been removed from the public right-of-way.
Body
Whereas, Said special privileges granted permission for various encroachments in the public right-of-way; and
Whereas, Subsequently, the owner of each special privilege has removed all subject items from the public right-of-way in a manner that satisfies the Commissioners of Public Works and Department of Neighborhood Services or the encroachment is now permissible under the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and
Whereas, Said owners notified the Department of Public Works that they no longer need the special privilege granted them; and
Whereas, In order to release property owners from the bonding, insurance and annual special privilege fee requirements placed on the property owner as part of the granting of a special privilege, the Common Council needs to pass a resolution rescinding special privileges which are no longer needed; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following special privilege resolutions are rescinded:
1. Common Council Resolution File Number 49-1976 granted to Oneida Improvement Company to extend the south sidewalk on East Wells Street for the premises at 125 East Wells Street.
2. Common Council Resolution File Number 67-3013 granted to Robert E. and Teresa Gates for an excess fixed awning projection for the premises at 317 North Broadway.
3. Common Council Resolution File Number 83-1754 granted to Northwest General Hospital for overhead cable for the premises at 5310 West Capitol Drive.
4. Common Council Resolution File Number 891595 granted to Jeffrey Posner and Richard Yoder for an entry structure for the premises at 224 East Chicago Street.
5. Common Council Resolution File Number 900382 granted to Alioto’s on Jackson for a covered walk for the premises at 1038 North Jackson Street.
6. Common Council Resolution File Number 900399 granted to Steven Lloyd for a direct seller special privilege for various locations.
7. Common Council Resolution File Number 900524 granted to Michael J. Ukpanah for a direct seller special privilege for various locations.
