The resolution authorizes the levying of special assessments and directs the installation and construction of said public improvements. Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions, determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:
9th Aldermanic District
N. 66th St. - W. Port Ave. to a point 650 feet m/l south of W. Bradley Rd. (ST210060103) File Number 050565: Construct concrete pavement, construct concrete curb and gutter, construct concrete walk where needed, sodding, grading, and tree removal where necessary. (Assessable New Paving Fund -- $47,400; Nonassessable New Paving Fund -- $75,000). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $122,400. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.
N. 97th St. - W. Darnel Ave. to a point 120 feet m/l north of W. Darnel Ave. (ST210050105) File Number 041692: Construct asphalt pavement, construct concrete curb and gutter, construct concrete walk, sodding, and grading. (Assessable New Paving Fund -- $1,000; Nonassessable New Paving Fund -- $30,000). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $31,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.
W. Daphne St. - 180 feet m/l east of N. 58th St. to N. 58th St. (WT410061124/WT420060002) File Number 041695: Install new water main. (Assessable Water Fund -- $6,000; Nonassessable Water Fund -- $34,000). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.
W. Daphne St. - 180 feet m/l east of N. 58th St. to N. 58th St. (SW170060101) File Number 051223: Install new sanitary sewer. (Assessable Expansion of Capacity Sewer Fund -- $6,600; Nonassessable Expansion of Capacity Sewer Fund -- $69,400). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $86,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.

Daphne St. - 180 feet m/l east of N. 58th St. to N. 58th St. (ST210050103) File Number 041236: Construct asphalt pavement rural cross-section, driveway approaches where needed, sodding, grading, and tree removal where necessary. Assessable New Paving Fund -- $5,100; Nonassessable New Paving Fund -- $19,100). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $24,200. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.
N. Servite Dr. - A point south of W. Brown Deer Rd. to W. Brown Deer Rd. (ST211060159) File Number 051444: Asphalt pavement resurfacing, replace curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches where needed, sodding, grading, and tree removal where necessary. (Assessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $45,900; Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $35,000). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $80,900. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.

Alley between W. Dixon St., W. Stevenson St., S. 73rd St. and S. 74th St. (ST212060124) File Number 041347: Concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting walk or driveway approaches, grading, and storm drainage facilities where necessary. (Assessable Alley Paving Fund -- $38,000; Nonassessable Alley Paving Fund -- $25,000). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $63,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.
13th Aldermanic District
W. Bottsford Ave. - A point 150 feet m/l east of W. Whitaker Ave. to W. Whitaker Ave. (ST210040102) File Number 040018: Construct asphalt pavement, construct concrete curb and gutter, construct driveway approaches where needed, sodding, and grading. (Assessable New Paving Fund -- $9,200; Nonassessable New Paving Fund -- $35,000). The total cost for this project including the requested amount is $44,200. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2006 construction season.

Whereas, The report of the Commissioner of Public Works has been filed with the City Clerk; and
Whereas, Notices have been sent to all interested persons and public hearings held; and
Whereas, The Housing Authority has asked the City of Milwaukee to add work to the paving project of West Silver Spring Drive at 6301 W. Sheridan Ave; and
Whereas, This work will be added to the paving project West Silver Spring Drive - North 43rd Street to North 68th Street (ST320020511) (City Share Assessable Paving Fund -- $39,900); now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works’ Report, as amended at said Public Hearing, is approved and the properties therein identified are benefited; and, be it
Further Resolved, That said Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work in accordance with said report pursuant to Section 66.0703 and any other pertinent sections of the Wisconsin Statutes and in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting or adjacent properties and collect such assessment in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the projects do not involve any parcels of agricultural land which are eligible for deferred special assessments under the provisions of Section 14.30 of the Milwaukee City Charter; and, be it
Further Resolved, That projects: N. 66th St. (ST210060103), N. 97th St. (ST210050105), W. Daphne St. (WT410061124/WT420060002), W. Daphne St. (SW170060101), W. Daphne St. (ST210050103), N. Servite Dr. (ST211060159), Alley W. Dixon St. (ST210050103), and W. Bottsford Ave. (ST210040102) will be billed after January 1, 2008, but not before 12 months after the project contract has been completed; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the following project be deleted from the 2006 Paving Program:
