Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Public Works to continue our existing five year contract to supply these services.
Body
Whereas, The Department of Public Works has a computerized security system and various digital field control units which operate the networked computerized card access/photo ID and CCTV systems for the City Hall Complex and numerous outlying buildings; and

Whereas, Building modifications and changing security needs require changes to be made to the networked computerized card access/photo ID and CCTV systems to control new and modified equipment; and

Whereas, The networked computerized card access/photo ID and CCTV systems were installed and serviced by Toepfer Security Corporation; and

Whereas, It would be in the best interests of the City of Milwaukee to procure the equipment, materials, and services necessary to make changes in the operation and maintenance of the networked computerized card access/photo ID and CCTV systems from Toepfer Security Corporation to ensure computability of equipment and undivided responsibility for operation of the systems; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works be authorized and directed as being in the best interests of the City of Milwaukee to procure the equipment, materials, and services necessary to make required changes to the networked computerized card access/photo ID and CCTV systems from Toepfer Security Corporation during the term of the contract; and, be it
