Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2006 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments: Health Department, Department of Public Works-Administrative Services Division and Operations Division, and Police Department.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):
Under “Department of Public Works-Administrative Services Division, Technology Support Services”, delete one position of “System Analyst-Senior” and add one position of “Telecommunications Analyst-Senior.”
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Maternal, Child and Home Environmental Health Division, Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant (E)”, delete one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(E)”; under “Healthy Behaviors and HealthCare Access Division, Medical Assistance Outreach Program”, delete one position of “Health Access Assistant II (X)(CC)(S2)” and add one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(S)” and one position of “Health Access Assistant II (X)(CC)” and add footnote “(S)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/06 unless the Medical Assistance Outreach Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Public Health Educator II” and delete footnotes “(S1) and “(S2)” in their entirety; under “Adolescent Community Health Grant (J)”, add one position of “Project Coordinator - Plain Talk (J)(K)”; under “Preventive Health Grant (I)”, add one position of “Office Assistant II (I)(MMM)”; under “Milwaukee Breast Cancer Awareness Program”, delete one position of “Radiologic Technologist - Mammographer (KK)(X)”; under “Family and Community Health Services, Northwest Health Center”, delete seventeen positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(AA)(FF)” and add seventeen positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(AA)(FF)(I)(MMM)”; under “Southside Health Center”, delete sixteen positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(AA)(FF)” and add sixteen positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(AA)(FF)(I)(MMM)” and amend footnote “(I)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/06 unless the Preventive Health Grant is extended. Also partially funds a Public Health Nurse” and amended footnote “(MMM)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/06 unless the Early Identification and Detection of Pregnancy Grant is extended. Also partially funds a Public Health Nurse and Office Assistant positions”; under “Disease Control and Prevention Division, Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant (YY)”, delete one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(P)(YY)” and add one position of “Health Services Assistant II (X)(P)(YY)” and amend footnote “(YY)” by deleting the title “Public Health Educator II” and substitute the title “Health Services Assistant II.”
Under “Department of Public Works, Operations Division, Fleet Services Section”, delete four positions “Automotive Mechanic Supervisor II” and add four positions of “Fleet Repair Supervisor II”; under “Auxiliary Positions”, delete one position of “Automotive Mechanic Supervisor I” and three positions of “Automotive Mechanic Supervisor II”, and add one position of “Fleet Repair Supervisor I” and three positions of “Fleet Repair Supervisor II.”
Under “Police Department” amend footnote “(K)” as follows: “High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant. Position authority to expire if HIDTA funding and the HIDTA project are discontinued or until 12/31/06 unless the HIDTA grant is extended.”
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2006 (January 1, 2006).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
