Title

Resolution rescinding various special privileges for items that are no longer located within the public right-of-way at various locations within the City of Milwaukee.

Analysis

This resolution rescinds various special privileges granting permission for items to encroach into the public right-of-way because said items have been removed from the public right-of-way.

Body

Whereas, Said special privileges granted permission for various encroachments in the public right-of-way; and

 

Whereas, Subsequently, the owner of each special privilege has removed all subject items from the public right-of-way in a manner that satisfies the Commissioners of Public Works and Department of Neighborhood Services; and

 

Whereas, Said owners notified the Department of Public Works that they no longer need the special privilege granted them; and

 

Whereas, In order to release property owners from the bonding, insurance and annual special privilege fee requirements placed on the property owner as part of the granting of a special privilege, the Common Council needs to pass a resolution rescinding special privileges which are no longer needed; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following special privilege resolutions are rescinded:

 

1.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 50-2019 granted to Kaufor Corporation for an underground tunnel for the premises at 522 North 2nd Street.

 

2.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 70-595 granted to Grede Foundries, Inc. for underground conduit for the premises at 1320 South 1st Street.

 

3.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 77-878 granted to Isaac Krikorian for a covered walk for the premises at 319 East Mason Street.

 

4.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 83-1946 granted to Grede Foundries, Inc. for aerial data transmission and support cables for the premises at 1320 South 1st Street.

 

5.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 84-473 granted to Michael P. Mervis for landscape retaining walls for the premises at 1693 North Water Street.

 

6.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 910648 granted to The Bangkok Orchid for a covered walk for the premises at 2239 North Prospect Avenue.
