Analysis

Currently, special charges imposed by the commissioner of neighborhood services against premises for the violation of solid waste regulations can be appealed to the administrative review board, but the appeal of these charges is not codified. This ordinance codifies the appeal process.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 79-17 of the code is renumbered 79-19.

 

Part 2. Section 79-17of the code is created to read:

 

79-17. Appeal of Special Charges. Appeal of the determination of the commissioner imposing special charges against premises may be submitted to the administrative review appeals board as provided by s. 320-11. Appeals filed pursuant to this section shall be filed no later than 30 days after the special charges are imposed.
