Analysis
This resolution confirms the report of the Commissioner of Public Works, as modified by the Common Council Committee, on projects for which Public Hearings have been held. The resolution authorizes the levying of special assessments and directs the installation and construction of said public improvements.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions, determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:

8th Aldermanic District

Alley between W. Forest Home Ave., W. Manitoba St., S. 40th St., and S. 41st St. (ST212060118) File Number 050805: Concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting walk or driveway approaches, grading, and storm drainage facilities where necessary. (Assessable Alley Paving Fund -- $8,400; Nonassessable Alley Paving Fund -- $22,700) The total cost to date for this project is $41,000.

13th Aldermanic District

S. 20th St. - W. Grange Ave. to W. Layton Ave. (ST320020801/WK6831060008) (2275-02-70) File Number 020054: Asphalt pavement resurfacing, replace curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches where necessary, sodding, and grading. (City Share Assessable Paving Fund -- $79,000; City Share Non-assessable Paving Fund -- $146,000; Grantor Paving Fund -- $750,000; Grantor Paving Reimbursable Cash Fund -- $113,000; City Share Nonassessable Sewer Fund -- $7,000) These funds are to be transferred to the construction account ST320020810. The total cost to date for this project is $1,205,000.
