Substitute resolution authorizing and directing the City Comptroller to create State and/or Federal Aid project sub accounts for preliminary engineering for North 76th Street - West Center Street to West Appleton Avenue paving project, and transfer funds for preliminary engineering.
Body
Whereas, The State/Municipal Agreement for North 76th Street (STH 181), West Center Street to West Appleton Avenue, has been previously authorized and executed as set forth in Resolution 041289, and incorporated in this resolution by reference; and

Whereas, North 76th Street (STH 181) from West Center Street to West Appleton Avenue is scheduled for reconstruction in 2010 a part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Connecting Highway Program; and

Whereas, The State of Wisconsin has approved the executed agreement for the programming and construction of North 76th Street - West Center Street to West Appleton Avenue; and

Whereas, The project will be undertaken with 75 percent Federal and/or State Aid for preliminary engineering costs and approximately 88 percent Federal and/or State Aid for participating construction costs, the City’s share of the construction cost being based on a ratio of on street parking permitted, with some sidewalk and private driveway replacement costs non-participating and funded 100 percent by the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The estimated total cost of this project is $11,449,000 of which the City of Milwaukee’s share is $1,133,800; and

Whereas, The total estimated preliminary engineering cost of this project is $1,728,000, of which the City of Milwaukee’s share is $4...
