Title
Substitute resolution appropriating $75,000 from the Common Council Contingent Fund to the Outside Counsel/Expert Witness Fund Special Purpose Account.
Body
Whereas, The Outside Counsel/Expert Witness Fund Special Purpose Account is to be used by the City Attorney's Office for the purpose of retaining experts and outside legal counsel; and
Whereas, Existing funding will be insufficient and additional funding is necessary to fulfill our legal obligations through the remainder of the year including some additional expenditures for changed circumstances related to the Sewer Overflows Litigation; and
Whereas, It is in the City's best interest to continue to retain outside counsel and experts when necessary; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that $75,000 be appropriated from the Common Council Contingent Fund No. 0001-9990-C001-006300 to the Outside Counsel/Expert Witness Fund 0001-1490-0001-S157-006300; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to make whatever fund transfers are necessary or appropriate to carry out the provision of this resolution.
